This is day 9 sept 14 and we are at the Lima airport.We arrived here about 2:30pm from Cusco.It was a nice flight with,exit row seats, lots of leg room.We had our new friends sitting the row behind us.I'll explain.
When we took the train to MachuPicchu,we sat across from a very nice couple from Lima.We have no Spanish but with their limited English we got along very well.we were able to discover a lot about each other.We thought we might part ways when we got off the train but ended up on the same bus up to MachuPichhu.We thought that we would part ways then,but then ran into each other at the gate in Cusco Airport.We were on the same flight to Lima and they sat behind us.We parted ways at the terminal in Lima and each of us extended invitations to welcome each other to our home one day.I hope this will happen as they were a fabulous couple.
We also me two young couples in their twenties,over the last two days,from Equador and people republic of Chec. the other couple from Switzerland.I need more languages.
The full day to MachuPicchu and back to Cusco was very interesting and a lot of fun.It is a must see to appreciate.
We did a bus tour to the Sacred Valley on Sunday and saw many Inca sites.We walked up and down the steps and trail and were very tired wen we got to the hotel at 8pm.We took in happy hour and met a young man from Denmark,he was very talkative.
So here we sit at Lima Airport awaiting our overnight flight to Toronto,will our luck continue with standby travel.Stay tuned until later.
