It is hard to beleive that our 50 day trip is coming to an end, it has been an incredibly fun, exciting and interesting time.We have touched on six continents and 11 countries, all we enjoyed, some we found what we expected but also surprises. We met a lot of people and some that we quickly became friends with and if they are following our blog please email Robert & Nancy at whitesidney@shaw.ca as we want to stay in touch and may not still have you email or wrote it wrong!
Our days in Austrailia have been a lot of fun, since arriving on Sunday. We have done a number of tours and visited a lot of tourist sites. We took the opentop bus, which is a good way to get your directions and lay of the area. This toured around the city and lots of stops to jump on jump off, Bondi Beach was really nice and could be a trip on it's own.We did the Sydney Tower sky walk on Friday, the view was spectacular,we should have done this on day one as you can really see where things are and get your directions. We did the Aquarium and it too was cool, walking through the glass tunnels under the fish was quite relaxing. The Blue mountains tour was an all day experience we did on Wednesday, and is located about 100 km. west of Sydney. It is another one of the many sites we have see that we say the pictures just don't do it justice. On the return to Sydney we went through the 2000 Olympic Park then got dropped off on a Rivercat boat into the city.
We check out of this hotel ,our third, and move out near the airport to our fourth. Our flight leaves Sydney at about 11am Sunday. So today will be slow paced I think we will try out their train system maybe go out to Bondi Beach. We are getting better at using transit systems and I think on arrival in Vancouver we will take our trains and busses to our home, just for the final experience.
Will post again when I can.
